The Youth in Animation and Post-Production Initiative (YAPPI) is a transformative partnership between the Mastercard Foundation and Del-York Creative Academy designed to build a competitive talent pipeline for Africa's expanding media and entertainment industries.
Through a hybrid learning model blending intensive online modules with hands-on physical bootcamps, YAPPI equips young Africans—with a special focus on achieving at least 50% female participation—with world-class creative skills.
Graduates gain access to active industry mentorship, portfolio reviews, digital talent registries, and direct internship/employment pathways across leading domestic and international film studios, gaming companies, and advertising agencies.
