Project Overview & Impact
Through a partnership with donor organization Africa No Filter, Del-York Creative Academy established the African Content Creators Lab to equip emerging writers, directors, and digital animators with storytelling tools that challenge persistent negative narratives about Africa.
The program combines creative masterclasses, script doctoring sessions, and pitch labs with seed funding grants to help creators produce short films, documentaries, and web series for global streaming audiences.
By emphasizing authentic character development, contemporary African innovation, and diverse cultural expression, Africa No Filter and DCA are reshaping how the world perceives the African continent.
