The Project Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing multiple high-profile initiatives across Del York Creative Academy (DCA), Creative Lagos, and Google-partnered projects. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, creative problem-solving, and the ability to balance multiple complex projects simultaneously in a dynamic creative education environment.
Key Responsibilities
Del York Creative Academy Projects
- Lead end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of DCA’s educational and creative initiatives.
- Develop comprehensive project plans including timelines, resource allocation, risk assessment, and contingency planning.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including instructors, creative directors, and administrative staff.
- Monitor project progress against KPIs and adjust strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
- Oversee student project showcases and collaborative industry initiatives
Creative Lagos Initiative
- Manage community engagement programs aimed at developing Lagos’ creative ecosystem.
- Coordinate public workshops, exhibitions, and creative industry networking events.
- Liaise with local government officials, cultural institutions, and creative entrepreneurs.
- Track project impact metrics and prepare reports for stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for sustainable growth and development within the initiative
Google Project Partnership
- Serve as primary liaison between DCA and Google project stakeholders.
- Ensure deliverables meet Google’s technical requirements and quality standards.
- Coordinate digital skills training programs in collaboration with Google resources.
- Manage project budgets and resource allocation according to partnership agreements.
- Prepare documentation and analytics reports for review by Google project teams
General Management Duties
- Lead weekly status meetings with all project teams.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including SOPs and best practices.
- Manage budgets across multiple project streams.
- Identify and mitigate risks to project timelines and deliverables.
- Coach and mentor junior team members
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Creative Arts, or related field.
- 5+ years of project management experience, with at least 2 years in creative industries.
- PMP certification or equivalent professional qualification.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent projects with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of creative production workflows and educational program implementation.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate between technical and creative teams.
- Proficiency with project management software and productivity tools.
- Experience working with multinational technology companies (Google experience a plus)
