Head of Del-York Communications

The Head of Del-York Communications is responsible for shaping, driving, and protecting the Del-York Group brand across all business units while accelerating business growth through strategic marketing, communications, client partnerships, and brand-led initiatives.

The role serves as the strategic brand custodian for the Group, translating corporate and business strategies into powerful brand positioning, integrated marketing communications, compelling narratives, and market-facing initiatives that enhance visibility, reputation, engagement, and revenue growth.

Beyond brand management, the role will drive commercial opportunities by identifying partnerships, attracting new business, strengthening client relationships, and overseeing client management operations for the agency. The ideal candidate combines strategic communications expertise, commercial marketing capability, and strong leadership skills to influence perception, unlock growth opportunities, and ensure consistent brand expression across all Del-York subsidiaries.

The role will also lead internal marketing and communications effectiveness by managing team performance, improving operational efficiency, establishing clear processes, and ensuring the communications function delivers measurable business impact.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Strategic Brand, Marketing & Communications Leadership

  • Translate Group and business unit strategies into clear brand positioning, marketing direction, and communication narratives that drive visibility, influence, business growth, and revenue opportunities.
  • Convert corporate strategy, commercial objectives, and growth priorities into integrated marketing and communication plans that strengthen market positioning, support client acquisition, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Define and drive the Group’s overall brand, marketing, and communications strategy, ensuring a unified voice, identity, and positioning across all business units and subsidiaries.
  • Oversee the full brand experience of the Del-York Group, ensuring all subsidiaries and business units are aligned with the Group’s vision, values, positioning, and reputation objectives.
  • Develop and execute brand positioning strategies that differentiate the Group across multiple industries and markets.

2. Brand Governance & Group-Wide Alignment

  • Serve as the strategic brand and communications partner for all Del-York Group subsidiaries, providing guidance and support to ensure consistency in brand expression, messaging, campaigns, and market presence.
  • Ensure brand governance and consistency across all marketing, communication, and creative outputs across subsidiaries.
  • Drive internal communications initiatives that ensure employees across the Group are aligned with business strategy, culture, and brand direction.

3. Integrated Marketing & Communications Management

  • Lead integrated marketing communications (IMC), ensuring alignment between branding, advertising, digital marketing, public relations, creative execution, and corporate communications.
  • Oversee corporate communications across internal and external channels, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment in messaging.
  • Oversee digital marketing and communication channels including social media, content strategy, websites, and online reputation management

4. Business Growth & Commercial Development

  • Drive business growth initiatives by identifying new opportunities, partnerships, client prospects, and market opportunities that support revenue generation for the Group and its subsidiaries.
  • Support business development efforts by positioning the Group’s capabilities, services, and subsidiaries effectively to prospective clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Monitor market trends, audience insights, competitor activities, and performance metrics to continuously improve brand positioning, client engagement, and business impact.

5. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management

  • Lead the client-facing team within the agency, ensuring effective client acquisition, relationship management, retention, and delivery of high-quality solutions aligned with client objectives.
  • Manage end-to-end client engagement processes, including client onboarding, relationship management, proposal development, strategic presentations, campaign execution, and client satisfaction.
  • Partner with creative, strategy, production, and business teams to develop compelling pitches, proposals, and solutions that address client needs and create commercial opportunities.

6. Public Relations, Reputation & Crisis Management

  • Drive public relations, media engagement, thought leadership, and reputation management initiatives to strengthen brand credibility and visibility.
  • Lead crisis communication and brand reputation management to safeguard organizational trust and corporate image.

7. Leadership, Team Management & Operational Excellence

  • Lead, manage, and develop the communications, marketing, and client management teams by setting clear objectives, KPIs, performance expectations, and operational standards.
  • Improve team efficiency by establishing effective workflows, collaboration structures, and processes that enhance productivity and quality of delivery.
  • Monitor team performance, project execution, client satisfaction, campaign effectiveness, and communication impact to drive continuous improvement.

8. Performance Measurement & Market Intelligence

  • Monitor market trends, audience insights, competitor activities, and performance metrics to continuously improve brand positioning, client engagement, and business impact.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Master’s degree or professional certification is an added advantage.
  • 8–12+ years of experience in marketing, corporate communications, brand management, or integrated marketing communications (IMC).
  • Proven experience driving business growth, client acquisition, partnerships, and revenue opportunities through marketing and communications initiatives.
  •  Strong client relationship management experience, preferably within an agency, creative, media, or consulting environment.
  • Experience managing client-facing teams and delivering integrated solutions to corporate clients.
  • Ability to operate as both a strategic Group-level brand leader and a hands-on commercial business partner.
  •  Strong understanding of agency operations, client servicing, proposal development, pitching, and account management.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve team effectiveness, processes, and operational performance.
