Head of Business & Partnerships

The Head of Business & Partnerships is responsible for driving business growth, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding the organization’s market presence. This role leads the business development strategy, manages key external relationships, and works closely with internal teams to design and execute initiatives that increase revenue, strengthen brand positioning, and unlock new opportunities.

Business Strategy & Growth

  • Develop and lead the overall business development strategy to achieve revenue, profitability, and market expansion goals.
  • Identify new business lines, markets, and strategic opportunities for growth.
  • Lead market research, competitor analysis, and customer insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Drive revenue generation initiatives and ensure consistent pipeline growth.
  • Work with leadership to align business expansion efforts with overall company vision.

Partnership Development & Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and secure strategic partnerships with corporate organizations, government bodies, NGOs, institutions, and industry influencers.
  • Lead end-to-end partnership cycles including proposal development, negotiations, MoU drafting, and execution.
  • Develop partnership frameworks, engagement models, and value-driven collaboration strategies.
  • Maintain long-term relationships and ensure partnership deliverables are met.

Client Acquisition & Relationship Management

  • Drive customer acquisition strategies that bring in high-value clients.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key accounts, ensuring exceptional client experience and repeat business.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking forums to increase the organization’s visibility.

Revenue & Performance Management

  • Set revenue targets and implement plans to achieve them.
  • Develop metrics, KPIs, and dashboards to track business performance.
  • Prepare regular reports for executive management highlighting opportunities, risks, and progress.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with marketing, operations, finance, HR, and product teams to support business initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the communication & brand team to strengthen market positioning.
  • Ensure operational readiness for new projects and partnership rollouts.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and mentor the business development and partnership team.
  • Build a high-performing team culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
  • Provide guidance on proposal writing, client engagement, negotiation, and closing strategies

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or related field (Master’s is an advantage).
  • 7–12 years of progressive experience in business development, partnership management, strategy, or related roles.
  • Proven experience closing high-value deals and leading business growth initiatives.
  • Experience working at an executive or senior leadership level
