Communication Lead

The Communications Lead is responsible for shaping, driving, and protecting the Del-York Group brand across all business units. The role translates corporate and business strategies into powerful brand positioning, integrated marketing communications, and compelling narratives that drive visibility, reputation, engagement, and revenue growth.

The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and a commercial marketer with strong communications expertise, capable of aligning brand, marketing, and communication efforts with business objectives. The role requires strong leadership, business acumen, and the ability to influence perception, support growth, and ensure consistent brand expression across all platforms and subsidiaries.

Responsibilities

  • Translate Group and business unit strategies into clear brand positioning, marketing direction, and communication narratives that drive visibility, influence, and business growth.
  • Convert corporate strategy, commercial objectives, and growth priorities into integrated marketing and communication plans that shape market perception and support revenue generation.
  • Define and drive the Group’s overall brand, marketing, and communications strategy, ensuring a unified voice, identity, and positioning across all business units.
  • Ensure all brand, marketing, and communication outputs consistently reflect strategic intent, commercial goals, and organizational values.
  • Lead integrated marketing communications (IMC), ensuring alignment between branding, advertising, digital marketing, PR, and corporate communications.
  • Oversee corporate communications across internal and external channels, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment in messaging.
  • Lead marketing communications strategies across campaigns, product/service positioning, brand activations, and audience engagement initiatives.
  • Drive public relations, media engagement, and reputation management to strengthen brand credibility, visibility, and thought leadership.
  • Develop and execute brand positioning strategies that differentiate the Group across multiple industries and markets.
  • Lead crisis communication and brand reputation management to safeguard organizational credibility and trust.
  • Drive internal communications to ensure alignment of employees with Group strategy, culture, and brand direction.
  • Partner with business unit leaders to translate commercial strategies into marketing and communication plans that support business growth and revenue targets.
  • Support business development efforts by ensuring marketing and communications enhance client acquisition, partnerships, and market positioning.
  • Oversee digital marketing and communication channels including social media, content strategy, website, and online reputation management.
  • Ensure brand governance and consistency across all marketing, communication, and creative outputs across subsidiaries.
  • Lead, manage, and develop the communications and marketing team, setting KPIs, direction, and performance expectations.
  • Represent the Group in high-level marketing, communications, and industry engagements as a key brand voice and spokesperson.
  • Monitor market trends, audience insights, and performance metrics to continuously improve brand positioning, campaign effectiveness, and communication impact

Required Skills and Qualities

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Master’s degree or professional certification is an added advantage.
  • 8–12+ years of experience in marketing, corporate communications, brand management, or integrated marketing communications (IMC).
  • Proven experience leading both marketing and communications functions in a corporate or multi-business environment.
  • Strong ability to translate business strategy into brand positioning and marketing execution.
  • Experience in public relations, media management, and reputation building.
  • Strong leadership experience managing cross-functional creative, marketing, and communications teams.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen with the ability to link brand and marketing activity to business growth and revenue outcomes.
  • Strong digital marketing understanding including social media, content strategy, and online brand management.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
