The Strategy & Projects Intern is an entry-level opportunity for a sharp, ambitious, and detail-oriented individual to gain real-world experience in corporate strategy, project management, and business development at one of Africa’s most exciting conglomerates. The Intern will be assigned to live projects, gaining exposure to how a Group-level strategy department functions, from planning cycles to flagship project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with research tasks, including competitor analysis, industry scans, data gathering, and fact-checking
- Compile, organize, and format research findings into clear and structured reports
- Maintain department files, document templates, and project archives
- Track and update project timelines, to-do lists, and action logs under the supervision of the Manager or Associate.
- Take minutes during team and stakeholder meetings and circulate action items promptly
- Support the coordination of internal and external meetings, workshops, and events
- Support the preparation of PowerPoint presentations, concept notes, and briefing documents
- Assist in designing visual materials and reports for internal and external use
- Provide administrative and logistical support for special projects and departmental activities
- Complete assigned tasks and ad-hoc requests with professionalism and timeliness
- Contribute fresh ideas and perspectives during team meetings and brainstorming sessions
Required Skills and Qualification
- Recently graduated from a Bachelor’s degree program in Business Administration, Economics, Management, Social Sciences, Communications, or a related field
- Strong academic record (minimum Second Class Upper or equivalent)
- Genuine interest in strategy, business development, project management, or the creative/media industry
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially PowerPoint and Excel) or Google Workspace
- Strong written and verbal communication in English
- Highly organized, proactive, and willing to learn
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and conduct oneself professionally at all times
